Nerlens Noel Signs 10-Day Contract with Brooklyn Nets

Brooklyn Nets sign center Nerlens Noel to a 10-day contract.
BROOKLYN, N.Y.—The Brooklyn Nets have signed center Nerlens Noel to a 10-day contract, as announced by the team on Saturday. Noel, a 6'11" center, is a veteran of eight NBA seasons and returns to the Nets after previously playing for the team during the 2019-20 season.
Noel, 29, began the 2022-23 season with the Detroit Pistons but was waived in February. He has played in 46 games this season, averaging 4.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game.
The Nets are in need of frontcourt depth with Nic Claxton currently sidelined due to a hamstring injury. Noel is expected to provide backup minutes behind Claxton and TJ Warren.
