London, UK - May 20, 2024 - A British court is set to make a final decision on Monday on whether Julian Assange, the WikiLeaks founder, will be extradited to the United States to face espionage charges. The United Kingdom's High Court will hold a crucial hearing in the case of imprisoned WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, who has been fighting extradition to the US for years. The hearing is scheduled for Monday morning. Assange was first arrested in Britain in 2010 on a Swedish warrant over sex crime allegations that were later dropped. He was granted asylum in Ecuador's London embassy in 2012, where he remained for seven years. In 2019, Ecuador withdrew his asylum, and he was arrested by British police on behalf of the US.
